"It’s been quite the eventful week for all things related to Kanye West’s sneakers as news broke of forthcoming reissues of the adidas yeezy white

The adidas crazy basketball shoes has recently emerged in a retro “Silver Metallic/Hi-Res Red” colorway after its multi-color take by Pharrell Williams. With all the level ups the adidas ultra boost 2.0 multicolor has received, it’s nigh impossible to surmise which is the objective fan favorite. In an effort to cover all their bases — while simultaneously ensuring no fans are left wanting in the dust — adidas is unveiling a return to the UB 2.0 patterns, adorned this time with the stars and stripes that symbolize the land of the free. Gradient patterns, a mainstay construction detail for this silhouette’s iteration, adorns the Primeknit toe box in a mix of blacks and greys with overlay cages maintaining a clean black gloss. Atop the lateral profile logo, you’ll find a blue paint with slanted star prints while the medial utilizes stripes with a bold red backdrop. Heel tabs, in white contrast webbing, match the overall patriotic color scheme in unison with the special insoles for pack that honors its muse through and through.

Although adidas has confirmed that a big focus for 2020 will be spent on its Superstar model, which turns 50 this year, the German sportswear behemoth is still finding time to show love to its other footwear offerings like the Ultra BOOST 20 or the Stan Smith Recon. Contrasting the aforementioned marquee runner’s recent Asia-Pacific “City Pack,” the court-inspired silhouette will soon add an elegant, off-white outfit to its immeasurable release catalog. Closely resembling Raf Simons’ take on the classic from late 2018, this Stan Smith dons cream tones all-throughout its uppers and bottoms. Contrast of any kind only comes at the heel and tongue – and subtly at that. Off-grey suede breaks up the tonal look on the heel tab, branded with adidas’ Trefoil logo and adidas stan smith all white text. When White Mountaineering walked the runway at Paris Fashion Week last year, there was certainly a lot to digest: their seasoned repertoire of technical garments left little to be desired and the same can unequivocally be said for their latest footwear collaborations. Though Danner was among them — bringing hikers to an audience well removed from the trail — the range’s best in show may be better awarded to their newest offerings with the Three Stripes, pairs of the recently modified adidas lxcon on feet complete with metallic hardware. Utility enhanced, the silhouette adds ease-of-use to its resume, forgoing traditional laces for fasteners akin to Cobra buckles sans its many markings. Webbing crosses towards the sole — lying down as logos as well as extra layers — applying atop contrast stitching of white as seen on the navy colorway and silver on the tan, with tubing built underneath lying in the same bright white or a neon orange, respectively.

But more recently, it seems the brand has taken a more delicate approach to their once vaulted classics, opting to instead recolor them for the contemporary audience. As has been done with their now expanding ZX line, the adidas eqt gazelle sneaker has been brought back from the late 90s in a vast array of different looks, and its latest — hued in grey and shock yellow — is set to be one of the silhouette’s most compelling in quite a long time. Its exterior leathers and underlying mesh dye to the neutral for a versatile display, with accents choosing bold as the three stripes along the side and the laces dress to the bright yellow. Elsewhere, navy blocks at both the tongue and heel counter, further complementing the rest of the palette.

it’s clear that adidas is far from done with the front-running silhouette. While the most transformative iteration sits closely on the horizon of 2019, the German Sportswear brand has been reclaiming relics from its vault, ushering back in many of the most popular 1.0 colorways while filling its release calendars with some of the more daring toolings. Only a few days ago, Uncaged variations popped up on “Coming Soon” pages, though now the more minimal Laceless model has made a surprise arrival. as the brand unveiled the Unveiled earlier this month, adidas‘ SL 7600 silhouette has done a 180 degree turn for its next release, which forgoes any blue/red/grey for shades of white. Clad in “Cloud White” and “Crystal White,” the SL 7600 fuses old and new. Soft nylon uppers and their accompanying suede and nubuck detailing at the toe, lace guards and heel harken back to the brand’s ’70s trainers. Serrated outsoles are undeniably inspired by the SL 72, but this new runner distinguishes itself elsewhere. Lace loops and their beige laces sit right below flipped adidas branding and atop a semi-translucent tongue; profile 3-Stripes sport a faint black tint prominently visible at the collar. Furthermore, an exposed slab of Boost cushioning at the heel unmistakably places this retro option in the 21st century.

"The adidas continental 80 off white, one of the lifestyle siblings of the Originals family recently featured in Pharrell‘s latest Hu capsule, is back for another release geared towards its more general audience. Shedding its cream-colored exteriors, the silhouette is now getting done up with a more classical approach by mimicking the look of the ever-popular white and green Stan Smith colorway. Uppers, which are usually done up in a full leather build, are constructionally modified out with a canvas majority and smaller amounts of leather overlays affixed to the forefoot and throat all hued in an angelic white. While the color-blocking doesn’t involve the original “Fairway Green” associated with the aforementioned 1960s model, a darker “Collegiate Green” tone is coated along the Trefoil branding, tongue/heel tabs, and the treading to evoke a similar look and feel.

After gaining some reclaimed attraction thanks to its duo of collaborations released through Beyonce’s Ivy Park collection, the adidas nite jogger mens could conceivably be wanting to capitalize on this momentum with in-line releases. Thankfully, however, things are slowly starting to change as the brand has not only proffered a second coming of their Gardening Pack but also a vibrant “Chaos” colorway for the aforementioned retro. Though hued with tones from all over the spectrum, the base is unequivocally neutral as it outfits mostly with white textures: mesh, leathers, nubuck, etc are all given a pure white to slight cream shade, with applications atop doing the brunt in terms of color diversity. Three Stripes overlays at the side break out in a pastel pink, matching that of the tubing that surrounds the heel while closely complementing the toe cap’s purple sheen.

Paving their way into the future without shedding once ounce of their core DNA, adidas stan smith shoes has never quite let go of any of their archive designs, even bringing back some noteworthy models as of late while calling to others by way of retro colorways and small embellishments. Nothing of the subtle, however, their latest surprise is the once oft-used XENO reflective — which made pairs the likes of the EQT, ZX Flux, and Superstar more futuristic — though geared to make a much larger, more avant-garde splash with the help of Raf Simon’s favorite, the Stan Smith. Completely restructuring the minimal silhouette from the ground up, its uppers take on separated panels of the iridescent material, lighting up at almost all points except for its insect-like patterning across. Soles as well as tongues are blacked out to refrain from overexposure on flash while heel tabs dress up with pony hairs in connection to fashion luxury.
