One of Nike's best debut signature sneakers in recent memory.

nike roshe two flyknit has unveiled the debut signature shoe for Indiana Pacers wing Paul George. The shoe has been dubbed the PG1, and was unveiled across social media platforms this afternoon. George will debut the shoe during Thursday’s game against the Denver Nuggets, which takes place this Thursday in London.

The nike air pegasus 83 shoe features a low-cut silhouette, built for George’s versatility as a guard or slashing wing. Built to be extra-lightweight, the shoe also features a forefoot strap anchored by Flywire loops, a design feature we haven’t seen much of from Nike. The shoe’s forefoot contains a Zoom Air unit and the whole shoe is locked down by a single piece bootie for extra comfort and control.

The nike air pegasus 33 colorway of the debut version is called the “2K” for Paul George’s love of gaming. It is perfectly timed with his appearance on the cover of NBA 2K17. The lace lock is inspired by George’s other passion, fishing; its meant to look like a bobber. Hopefully George's face really appears on the insole, because that would be a hilarious quirk not seen in other Nike shoes.

Paul George is the 21st basketball player to receive a signature shoe from Nike over their 44-year history. It was designed by George along with new balance 574 designer Tony Hardman. The PG1 has a suggested retail price, making it among the more affordable signature shoe’s in Nike’s blossoming basketball line.
