This upcoming leather/mesh build features a black ribbon that goes down the middle of the tongue with with an outward printing of “Don’t Trip” as well as Chinese translation of DAMN on the forefoot. The same ribbon detail can be seen on the heel. While a firm release date hasn’t been revealed, a surprise drop during All-Star Weekend seems timely given the attention around the event and the hip-hop artist’s roots in the city. While the Swoosh gets ready to roll out Kendrick Lamar’s “Kenny 1” version of the same silhouette, this new design shows the versatility of the model. Fujiwara’s creation dons a multitude of textures and materials, with the translucent upper housing “FRGMT” branding being the most notable. Also featured, is a suede toe cap and matching hell, finished off by a leather midfoot Swoosh that sticks to the customary construction of the Cortez. Flywire cables dress up this Cortez as well, similar to plans the brand had for three classic colorways back in 2008.
